Cruising Diner Riverview is just a short walk north from Matsue station and overlooks the Ohashi  River. It offers a selection of western and Japanese dishes, many using locally grown ingredients and a large selection of fine wines.

 

Looking out of the restaurant window you feel like you are on a boat (hence the name Cruising Diner!) , and this location, reasonable prices and friendly service make the restaurant popular with overseas tourists and residents.

 

Directions: From the North Exit of Matsue Station head directly north to the banks of the Ohashi River and you will see the restaurant next to the car parks. (about a 5 min. walk)

 

Opening Info: Open from 5:30pm (Last Order at midnight). OPEN ALL YEAR ROUND!!

CAPRICCIOSA

English written on the main menu.

Caprocciosa is a chain of Italian style restaurants. The main menu has English written under the Japanese title of each dish, however the lunch set menu is all Japanese. The Matsue restaurant is inside Terusa just by the North exit out of the station. Come out of the exit and walk left and you will see a big modern glass and metal building on your right just next to the bus station. It’s on the 2nd floor. The portions are quite big so it will fill you up before your long train or bus journey. It gets quite busy,  and there is usually a queue of people waiting for a seat on weekends.
