Shinwa Haku Shimane
The biggest event of the year is Shinwa Haku Shimane (Myth Expo Shimane) and it will be held in Shimane from July 21st to November 11th.
It is part of the 1300th anniversary celebrations of the ancient chronicles (Kojiki), which features many stories set in Shimane. We will be adding event information here and on our Visit Shimane Facebook page as the event progresses.
In the meantime, you can get an idea of what it is all about on the following pages.
